How to use the tone changer
Tone depends on the relationship with your reader. Local rules expand contractions for formal writing, shorten stock phrases, or adjust supported conversational expressions. Generative tone changes are currently unavailable; local tone rules have limited coverage.

Clarity, about the tool too.
Honest answers. No perfect-writing promises.
Does every sentence change?
No. If your message contains no supported local expression, the tool says so. Local rules have intentionally limited coverage.
Can confident tone change uncertainty?
The local engine does not remove uncertainty words such as “might” or “perhaps.” Review your draft to make sure the intent remains intact.
What are the limits?
Local tools support up to 3,000 words and 50,000 characters. Generative AI is currently unavailable; all working edits use local rules. TXT and Markdown files up to 1 MiB are supported. English is the only supported language.
